Training
PhD (1985).  Kinesiology; Simon Fraser University, Vancouver Canada; Parveen Bawa, advisor.  Clinical neurophysiology of long-latency stretch reflexes.  

Post-Docs. #1: Dept. of Physiology, University of Alberta, Edmonton Canada; Richard Stein, advisor. Muscle contraction kinetics; functional electrical stimulation for restoring grasp in persons with cervical SCI (i.e. quadriplegia). 
#2: Dept. of Clinical Neurophysiology, Academic Hospital, Uppsala Sweden; Karl-Erik Hagbarth, advisor.  Microneurography of trigeminal afferents; single motor unit recruitment in response to transcranial electrical stimulation.
